Final TV Debate Set for June 26

The BBC has announced the dates for its televised general election debates, with the final head-to-head leaders' debate scheduled for Wednesday, June 26. The debate will be the last opportunity for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the leader of the opposition to face off before polling day on July 4.

Additional Debate Dates

In addition to the final debate, the BBC will also host two prime-time Network TV debates on the following dates:

• Sunday, May 28: Seven-way debate with representatives from the Conservative Party, Labour Party, Liberal Democrats, Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru, Green Party, and UK Independence Party
• Sunday, June 18: Two separate three-way debates, one with representatives from the Conservative Party, Labour Party, and Liberal Democrats, and the other with representatives from the Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru, Green Party, and UK Independence Party

Debates to Focus on Key Issues

The debates are expected to focus on a range of key issues affecting the United Kingdom, including the economy, healthcare, education, and Brexit. The BBC has stated that it will aim to provide a fair and impartial platform for all participants to present their policies and debate the issues with each other.

Audience Participation

Audience members will be able to submit questions for the debates via email and social media. The BBC will select a number of these questions to be put to the politicians during the live debates.
